In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava has launched a new initiative to recognize and support Latino-owned small businesses throughout the region. Organized through a collaboration between the Mayor’s Office of Engagement, CAMACOL, and the Strive305 small business program, the tour highlights the vital role Latino entrepreneurs play in shaping the cultural and economic fabric of the County.

Miami-Dade County will make history soon by launching Metro Express — the County’s first-ever Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system and the longest all-electric BRT service in the nation, designed to transform how thousands of Miami-Dade residents move along the busy US-1 corridor. Starting on October 27, 2025, the Miami-Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) will offer South Dade commuters access to a brand-new, comfortable and reliable transit connection from Florida City to Dadeland South.

Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Dariel Fernández announced a continued partnership with Clerk of the Court and Comptroller Juan Fernández-Barquin to expand access to driver license services during Operation Green Light, a bi-annual initiative that helps residents resolve outstanding court obligations and restore their driving privileges.
