We want to acknowledge the massive journey that the past two and half years has been, that we are all still a part of.
The full extent of what we have been through and are still experiencing is yet to be processed or comprehended. Meanwhile the future seems full of uncertainties. For many people the journey has been hugely stressful and challenging at times. To even begin a summary overview that would have any consensus is a daunting task and practically impossible. So much has happened, and so much remains unresolved.
Yet, during this time, many have experienced shifts in perspectives, a new sense of awakening, a broadening of insights, a deepening of gratitude.
Luminate has catered for a wide range of needs in the past by including numerous zones of music, workshops and activities in a large festival environment. Yet, in the present time, there is something calling us to move in another direction, to simplify things and create more ease for everyone involved: basically a lot less things happening at the same time!
We are drawn to meet needs that may otherwise be neglected, whilst staying in alignment with our core values and vision.
And we want to be clear - as always, Lunasa is not about politics, protests or problems.
The journey to authentic heart-centered community involves embracing and acknowledging difficulties and challenges, and we think that techniques from Zenergy (1) and NVC (2) (compassionate/Nonviolent Communication) can help us on this path so that people can be heard without being censored, be acknowledged rather than cancelled, and engage in life on a voluntary basis free from coercion and demands.
In this age of transition we are considering alternative ways of inter-being, such as sacred economics (3) that connects gifts with needs so that we might all live in greater abundance. Growing healthy food, saving good seeds and completing the natural cycles to replenish nutrients and restore soil fertility whilst avoiding pollution are all essential skills to share and put into practice.
