Camp Sol Taplin Registration Is Underway At MARJCC

Known for its camping excellence built over its 48- year history, Camp Sol Taplin of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center is gearing up for another summer of fun, friendship, excitement, and learning. With the summer camp season running from June 9 – August 8, approximately 25 different camp options are being offered for grades PreK4 – 11, in addition to the summer programs falling under the MARJCC’s Early Childhood Academy that serves its youngest campers, age 2 months – PreK 4.

EdFed Awards Personal Finance Certifications to South Florida High School Students

Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) recently awarded personal finance certifications to nearly 200 high school students in Miami-Dade County during a special ceremony at the North Campus of Miami Dade College (MDC). The certifications were attained by students enrolled in EdFed’s award-winning CUPED (Credit Union Professional & Educational Development) program, offered in partnership with the Department of Career & Technical Education of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

EdFed representatives joined by MDC North Campus President Fermin Vazquez and CUPED Program students and educators at the certification ceremony.

During the Friday, May 2025 Governing Board Meeting of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), Palm Beach County Commissioner and SFRTA Chair Marci Woodward presented Tri-Rail representatives with a Certificate of Appreciation for the agency’s response to the aircraft crash that occurred on the rail corridor on April 11, 2025.
