Sumo-lings

Hi,

In my first email to you, after you purchased the LTD for Squirrly SEO on AppSumo, I told you how much we appreciate the warm welcome you've given us.

I appreciate it now more than ever.

A lot of SaaS founders had avised us against launching on AppSumo, because by 2018, we had made over $1 Million USD by selling recurring subscriptions, because we were on the market since 2013, because we had good traction, multiple products, etc.

They suggested a VC funding round is the way to go, but it's been my dream since 2010 to one day launch a product on AppSumo... so I didn't care about what they said.

I love meeting and learning from other entrepreneurs and other people who want to experiment, who like to create, who want to build something for themselves.

VCs are the opposite of that.

"They will buy from you one time, Florin, and after that you'll gain nothing from them" - I've heard this on and on and everybody was looking at me like I was an idiot for going this route.

Now most of them are jealous learning how much Squirrly has grown as a company, thanks to all the feedback and the buzz around our products. We've been selling monthly Business Plans at $71.99 USD / month like crazy these last few months.

If we went with funding, we would have taken more money - we had offers for over $3 Million - but we still would have been clueless :))

I love the technology we're building and we're extremely passionate about it. It was hard to identify the flaws in our plans, but thanks to all of you - we've identified them.

I have a huge list of great things we received from Sumo-lings like you. And it goes far beyond the total amount, or the individual $14 USD we got for each code we sold.

We're building all our stuff for you and other entrepreneurs like you. My team was incredibly happy to learn about all the success stories and success messages we've found posted by SQ SEO users all over the FB groups.

UX is something that we didn't want to change, because of all the previous success stories prior to Apr 2021. I didn't want to risk changing too much and then seeing that our users can't use the tools inside successfully.

Your feedback on the UI in recent months was amazing and we wanted to start building it... but there were a few of you who recorded some pretty awesome videos where you privately showed us what you find either confusing or "not in its place".

So, inspired by your feedback: both on Squirrly SEO and on how much you liked the other LTD we offered recently, we pushed harder and reached a much better UX, that got us all excited.

It's not ready for your eyes yet... but it will soon be ready.

The UI alone would have been great (I think... based on feedback), but we couldn't let so many great findings from our new members go to waste. The fact that you kept talking to us was awesome.

We don't always react or reply back, but we do actually listen to everything that comes our way. We wouldn't be where we are today without this.

To conclude:

- I'm happy I chased my dream from 2010 and brought products to you.

- You've offered us incredible help. Help that VCs or other big SaaS wise guys could not have offered us in a million years.

- You moved a mountain :)) And made us actually tackle UX as well.
